JTT Spring 2019

AACTA’s 2019 10U Rookies team from the Mid-Atlantic Sectionals Championships

Why Junior Team Tennis (JTT)?

If your kids love swinging a racquet, they’ll love it even more as part of a team. With nearly 100,000 players competing nationwide, USTA Junior Team Tennis brings players together to enjoy camaraderie and teamwork, providing a fun environment for kids to learn that succeeding is really more about how they play the game – win or lose.

There are 2 programs, Spring and Fall.  The Spring (late April to mid-June) and Fall programs (Mid-September to late October) are for advanced beginner and intermediate level players between the ages of 10-18 years of age.  There is an advanced beginner 90-minute session followed by a 90-minute session for intermediate-level juniors. There are 25 players per class with four instructors for each class.  Each 90-minute session includes instruction, drills and match play.

Patapsco Valley Junior Team Tennis League

Looking to play tennis, improve your skills and enjoy the game this summer? Anne Arundel County Tennis Association (AACTA) will have a club team in the Patapsco Valley Junior Tennis League (PVLJT). Each team is comprised of male and female players, ages 10-18. Singles and doubles are offered. At each match, players will compete against other clubs from Anne Arundel County. Like in other competitive leagues, stronger players will compete in official matches, but we will hold exhibition matches in efforts to get everyone available to play a chance to compete at each match.

There are 36 spaces available for the Summer program with prior year players getting the first option to play the next summer season. This program starts in late June and runs through the end of July.  AACTA has been fortunate to win the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

We are excited to provide this opportunity for players in the Annapolis area. We hope you join us!
